Deelkraal is located in the malaria-free Waterberg region, in the northern province of Limpopo. The lodge is close to the Rather Nyl River and its ecologically crucial floodplain – part of the resort. No inoculations or vaccinations are required for the Limpopo province, nor medication to be taken in advance.
Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport is about a 2-hour drive or 45 minutes in a fast helicopter ride.
The area consists of a unique landscape and is divided into numerous game reserves.
TRANSPORTATION TO DEELKRAAL
There are three ways to get from the airport to Deelkraal.
VIP Airport Shuttle Service – up to 9 people per vehicle
You will be picked up in a comfortable car, we will take care of your luggage. The route is mostly on the highway. The whole trip to your accommodation takes 2 to 2.5 hours.

VIP Helicopter – up to 5 people
You can start your trip with a special experience in our helicopter. For 45 minutes you will get to know the breathtaking landscape from the light. The helicopter will drop you off in front of the lodge.

IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The Waterberg region is a vast stretch of nature that has been declared a protected biosphere reserve by UNESCO. In Waterberg you will find all the Big Five – the buffalo, lion, leopard, rhino and elephant – along with a huge number of species of antelope, eland, kudu, giraffe, zebra as well as reptiles including the black mamba. A total of 75 animal species live here. The bird population consists of more than three hundred species. It is so beautiful and the landscape is so varied that Waterberg is often called South Africa’s best kept secret.
